Prohibition of Death and the Right to a Dignified Life
Abstract:
The paper discusses the problem of legislative regulation of euthanasia. The issue is covered against the background of absolute and inviolable human rights. The task of the paper is not to establish the essence of euthanasia and to separate its forms from each other. The aim of the research is to cover the issue with a new approach. The paper combines medical, religious, moral, philosophical and normative approaches to euthanasia. The study area goes beyond the analysis of national positive legislation and reviews the requirements of foreign states and international law. The decisions of foreign states and the European Court are also analyzed. The findings are based on a critical analysis of a comparison of basic human rights and the powers of government.
