Ethics of Publication

Introduction

Editorial Board of the Journal, Editorial staff and the non-profit legal entity “Union  of Law Scientists” as a publisher of the journal “Herald of Law” recognize an editorial policy and strictly protects ethics of publication. This is one of the top priorities.

The ethic of the scientific article must be agreed by all persons involved in the review and publication of the article: author, editor-in-chief, editors, members of the editorial board, editorial staff, reviewers and publisher.

Editorial independence of journal ensured.

 

Ethical standards for authors

Authors are required to adhere to ethical standards. 

Authors should respect the personal information of other people.

Authors are responsible for submitting their original article in full.

Submitted articles should not be published or sent to any publication in the world. Otherwise, the article will no longer be published.

The author is responsible about the accuracy of a published article. His position may not match with the views of the editorial board.

By the author is necessary to preserve the academic style of the author’s article,  the objectivity of the citation, presentation established scientific styles in the world scientific community. 

Bibliographic references are required when using and / or citing other authors’ works.

The author must immediately notify to editor about any error or inaccuracy in the article for the its correcting.

In the article the author can criticize the works of another scientist, but personal criticism is inadmissible.

The article presented by the author cannot be discriminatory.

The author should not use explicit hating speech which provoking ethnic and religious hatred, also obscene and offensive phrases.

The author must inform about any personal changes before pulication of the journal. Otherwise, any message will be sent to the original email address or contact phone and will be deemed to have been delivered.

The author is responsible for the accuracy of the contact information of the co-authors of the article.

 

Ethical Standards for Editorial

The journal protects material and non-material copyrights of the incoming and published materials.

The editorial office is required to review the submitted articles within a reasonable time.

The editorial office must respect the intellectual independence of the author.

The editorial board will not accept or consider a article which does not match with the article’s drafting rules and with the ethical standards of publication.

The final decision about the article to be published or not is made by the editorial board.

If the author does not want to send his article to any particular reviewer for the get consultation but the editor may refer to one or more of the peer reviewers cited by the author for review and consultation if he / she considers that is important for the evaluation of the article. This will be the case when the review article is in clear discrepancy with the reviewer’s published article.

If the editor-in-chief, editors, other staff of the editorial staff, or a member of the editorial board submits his / her article for publication, then he / she will not participate in the review, selection. Instead, other editorial staff are involved in the process. Selection of the scientific articles in the journal  through by the open contest and double-blind peer review ensures a high quality of the published articles. These persons must not have access to the reviews of their articles.

The rejected article will not be returned to the author.

 

Reviewer’s ethical standards

Reviews must be objective. The author’s personal criticism is irrelevant.

Any selected reviewer who considers himself incompetent in reviewing the article, or who believes that timely review of the article will be impossible, must timely notify the editor and refuse to review.

 

Privacy

Any submitted article for publication should be treated as a confidential document.

The editorial board and any person who involved in the process of publishing have no right to submit to the third party’s information about the submitted articles.

Materials for publication should not be displayed or discussed with anyone other except the editors, editorial board, reviewers, publishers, potential reviewers and editor-in-chief.

Inadmissible to use the submitted articles during the review process for personal interest.

 

Plagiarism

In case of any plagiarism, the article will not be published.

Submitted articles for publication will have verified through a system of plagiarism.

 

Access to the Article

Upon publication, the article will be available to any reader and no need an additional written consent from the author.
